Hello and welcome to Santa Barbara Senior Living Consultants Blog page. We are excited to begin featuring the many wonderful resources we are so fortunate to have to serve our seniors and their families, share interesting articles that we think will be useful to you, and more.
The first community we are featuring is Friendship Center, which has done an amazing job serving their members and families, even while they have not been able to attend in person during this pandemic. They are one of our many heroes!
Friendship Center is a stimulating daytime care program for seniors that benefits both working families, and aging adults, many of whom are experiencing dementia, cognitive decline, or physical disabilities. Our members are surrounded by their peers and warm, loving staff who take an interest in each unique person, and what sparks JOY for them.
Currently, due to pandemic restrictions & guidelines, we are providing Community Connect virtual classes 5 days a week, making weekly care calls, hosting a pen pal program, drive-in activities, and doing home deliveries of take care totes. Our program includes resources and information on caregiver support groups, home delivery of prepared meals (low or no cost), and more. Friendship Center has been supporting Veterans in our community for the last 40 years and we continue to offer our services to Veterans who qualify for free.
If you know a senior who could benefit from our care or you would like to donate to our cause, please contact Kim Larsen, Family Services Manager us at (805) 969-0859, option 2, or via email: email@example.com . Visit our website at: www.friendshipcentersb.org. We look forward to welcoming you and your loved one into the Friendship Center family!
