Memory Care Communities are specially designed, maintained, and staffed for people who have Alzheimer’s or other forms of Dementia, with unique designs including alarms on all windows and doors to prevent wandering.
Staff take special courses on how to care for seniors with behaviors such as aggression, depression and confusion.
The floor plans are typically one level, with level surfaces for walking, enclosed court yards so residents may take in fresh air and sunshine while still staying safe and secure. Private and semi-private rooms are available. Semi-private rooms are sometimes preferred to prevent loneliness and isolation.
Both Board & Care and larger communities are set up to care for those with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
Many communities offer Respite Care, which is short term placement to allow caregivers to attend to their own needs whatever they might be.
Prices vary depending on personal preferences and care needs. Contact us for more information.
