  • We will first meet with you on the phone and evaluate what type of Assisted Living Facility will best meet your needs with the changes going on in your life. We can assess what you are able to do independently to determine if you are able to meet the requirements for an Assisted Living Facility. In the event that you do not meet the requirements, we will take the time to guide you to further options.
  • We will explore your finances together to help fit you with the appropriate facility that is suitable for your budget. We can also suggest financial resources that can save you money if you qualify.
  • We will then talk about the geographical area you are most interested in living. Together, we will choose three to four facilities to tour and if you choose, drive you to see the options to gain a first-hand experience of the ones you have chosen.
  • Once you have selected the best place for your future living, we will help you with the medical paperwork and provide excellent referrals to help facilitate your move. We will guide you to In-Home Care Agencies, Moving Companies, Elder Law Attorneys, Estate Planners, Veteran’s Assistance, and Skilled Nursing Homes.

Peggy Renker


Peggy Renker, CSA
Certified Senior Advisor

Peggy Renker is a Placement Representative for Senior Living Consultants. Peggy, a 25- year resident of Santa Barbara, was born and raised in Harbor Springs, Michigan and is the youngest of nine children.

Peggy received her BA in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1986. She has spent the majority of her career in the hotel/resort industry in a group sales capacity representing hotels such as La Quinta Golf and Tennis Resort in La Quinta, California and the Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara.

In the Fall of 2003, Peggy made the decision to pursue her interest in caring for senior citizens and began working for Senior Living Consultants. After volunteering for Meals on Wheels, Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care and other senior related activities over the past fifteen years, Peggy enjoys the opportunity to work with seniors and their families on a regular basis.

In Summer of 2015, Peggy received her Residential Care Facility for the Elderly  (RCFE) Administrator Certification, providing her with an immense knowledge base on the various state regulations for all licensed Assisted Living and Alzheimer’s care homes.

Peggy holds the designation of Certified Senior Advisor. Her continuing education helps to keep her informed of the ever changing needs of our beloved seniors with a better understanding of Alzheimers, Dementia and the social and financial needs of seniors.

Wendy Hozik
Placement Consultant

Wendy Hozik is originally from southern Virginia and received her BS in Criminal Justice from Radford University in 2011. After pursuing a career in the Legal industry, she was able to transition into her true passion…real estate. She moved to California in 2012 and worked in the Beverly Hills branch office of Keller Williams. Now a seasoned real estate professional, Wendy understands that the agent you choose really matters! Wendy is committed to providing her clients with a high level of integrity, diligence, detail, and reliability. Most importantly, she is focused on creating and maintaining long-term relationships with her clients and understands that this means her clients’ interests always come first.

Between 2007 – 2011, Wendy performed volunteer work for the Alzheimer’s Association and various nursing homes throughout Virginia. She found these experiences to be very rewarding for herself and everyone involved. Upon meeting Peggy and learning more about Senior Living Consultants, Wendy knew this was a perfect fit. Her method relies on educating families with the facts and nuances of the senior housing market. She will listen to your concerns and your expectations and together will find a place to call home. With an ever growing desire for assisting seniors, Wendy is dedicated to making a difference in people’s lives on a daily basis.
